Part Two of Meeting

I trudged my feet down the hall,
As we were walking, our arms kept touching.
Which made me eyes open wide.
"You're gonna hate Mrs. Fields." Toby said to warn me.
"She yells at the whole class and probably will give about 7 detention slips in one day!"
he said jokingly.
I tried to make my laugh not sound so nervous.
As I walked in the door, ROOM 108, Toby said, "There is no assigned seating, though. That's the only good thing bout' Mrs. Fields."
"Kay'..."
I walked over to Mrs. Fields and handed her my slip.
Toby was right, she didn't look so nice.
Mrs. Fields had big round glasses, a little heavy set, crooked teeth, and a grimy smile.
"Why, hello Miss Garcia. You may go take a seat anywhere you'd like."
As I started walking to a seat, she said, "Oh, and welcome to Shellac Middle School.."
"Thanks." I blurted out.
I picked a seat all the way in the back left corner.
Toby walked up to me and put his backpack down.
"I guess I'll sit wit the new kid. Everyone else will think I'm a freak, but hey it's not so bad."
Toby said in a sarcastic tone.
"Hey it's all rite everyone thinks I'm a freak, too. That's what everyone thinks of a new kid!"
I sounded a little pouty.
"Hey not all new kids are freaks! You're not that bad." He said in another joking tone.
I laughed.
"Thanks."
All that period, Toby helped me with the math we were learning. And we talked about new schools, old schools, new friends, old friends, new teachers, and boring old teachers.
I was really starting to get to know Toby.
He was a really nice guy. :)
[Ringggggggggggggggg!!!]
"Well, I guess I've got to go to my 2nd period class. I have history."
"Oh.... I have science." He seemed almost like he cared that we didn't have the same class together.
I started walking towards ROOM 103, when Toby grabbed me by the arm and turned me around.
"Ummmmm....." I said
" I was wandering if you wanted to go out sometime? I've never met a girl like you before."
There he went with those big puppy dog eyes again.
I was sure my heart stopped beating.
Or other wise he would have heard it pounding the heck out of my rib cage.
"Uh.... yea. That would be great. and you're not like the rest of the other guys I've met either."
I smiled up at him.
End of Part 2 <3
