Pressured by the hurt you caused me,
don't know which way to go.
The fighting and screaming goes back and forth,
while I stand in the middle of it all.
"This is the second time you did this to me!"
One of the screamers says. Is she innocent in her attempt to win?
"No! This is the first!"
The other one says. Is she guilty over her words?
"Doesn't matter, you still did it!"
Used to be the best of friends,
but now that's crumbling down fast.
She walks away quickly,
should I follow and leave one hanging,
or stay and watch her walk in sorrows?
My feet pull me towards her.
"I'm on Carlee's side now!"
The screamer shouts to the lonely one.
I just try to keep up in her rampage.
We leave her to argue in her mind,
bystanders who have witnessed it try to comfort HER!
But they choose the wrong person,
for they don't know the whole story....
We walk in our impish victory,
to go and sit in our despair of reality.
The screamer and I might have lost a friend....
to the lies that SHE has told....

The Meeting Part 3

While I was walking away from you,
you caught up and stepped in front of me.
You opened up your arms to invite me in.
You smiled a crooked smile and pulled me close.
I gave you a hug that I will never forget.
"Umm, what was that for?" I said a little embarassed.
"Well I really like you."
"Oh, I really like you too." I smiled up at him, for he was so tall.
My cheeks were probably red too.
"Ok, can't wait to see you later. Maybe we'll have more classes together."
Toby said, hopefully.
"Yea...see you later."
I went to second period in a daze.
What had just happened? I have a boyfriend on the frst day of school.
That's crazy! We just met....Oh well.


After I got ouy of second period, I had A.R.
I walked in the class to Mr. Ramert.
He didn't look mean... he had glasses, short hair and a caring smile.
He introduced me to the class and told me to sit wherever I like.
And right when I sat down, guess who popped into that class.
Toby.
"Hey! Brianna!" He flashed a huge grin.
"Hey I guess you have another class with the new kid."
"Yep, that's awesome, too!" He was putting his puppy dog eyes on.

I was sleeping on the couch,
with the t.v. still on. It was about 11:00 p.m.
The phone started ringing that annoying chime-chime sound. I opened
my sleep-wrenched eyes.
"Ughhhhhhh."
I had to get it because I was the only one home.
Think I would be partying, huh?
I drag my feet on the floor, with my green froggy slippers.
"Hulllo....?" I say.
"Emma...? Is that you? H-help me!"
It was my best friend Kylie. She sounded like a child who really needed their mommy.
My brain really wasn't quite registered to understand that right now.
"Wuh-huh? Kylie? What's....wrong?" was all I managed to get out.
"A-are you alone? C-cuz I really need your help!" She was sobbing into the phone now.
Her pain was screaming at me. At that moment, I knew I needed to help her.
"Yes, Kylie, I'm alone. No one is home. It's o.k, just talk to me."
"I need to leave home now! Hurry please just let me know if I can stay over at your house tonight! Hurry, he's almost here!"
By now, it sounded like she couldn't breathe!
"Wuh? Ummmm...sure you can stay. Who's coming?!"
"I'll explain it to you when I get there! Thanks! I need to pack, quickly!"
The line cut dead.....
"Bye....." I said into the dead line.
It was 11:45 p.m. Kylie would be here around 12:00 p.m.
I trudged over to the sofa and flopped down.
The t.v. was on Ellen DeGeneres. I left it on that.
I was shaking for what was to come....
